BUILDING SAFETY GREATNESS

Greatness is a word we don’t take lightly.

This isn’t language of average, and that’s why we’re at the top of our game. We’re proud of the work we do, and the people we do it with. But greatness goes beyond quality and service — it extends into every aspect. That’s why we’re committed to
building safety greatness.

Greatness is as much about finishing the job without incident, as it is about bringing a project in on time and on budget. It’s as important to us that we all go home safe, as it is about a job well done. None of this is easy. But it’s how, together, we continue to build safety greatness.

WELLBEING

At Probuild, our employees’ wellbeing is important, that’s why we have a range of benefits and activities all focused around wellbeing, to name a few:

  • We offer an Employee Assistance Program to provide our team and their families with independent support if and when they need it.
  • We also look after our staff with a salary continuance program to take away the financial stress of illness or injury
  • We offer free flu jabs every year to protect our Probuilders from the nasty flu virus.
  • We sponsor our employees to participate in events like corporate triathlons and marathons

We also provide our employees with generous and flexible leave options such 14 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and two weeks for secondary carers, transitional return to work options, study leave, and a few extra leave days throughout the year on us!

INCLUSIVENESS

As part of our mission to build greatness together, we work hard to provide an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought and experiences are not only welcome but encouraged.

We have implemented a range of policies and initiatives to ensure an inclusive workplace for all including:

  • Gender pay gap analysis and adjustments as standard practice since 2015
  • Paid parental leave – 14 weeks for primary and two weeks for secondary carers
  • Transitional return to work options for return to work parents
  • Eligibility whilst on parental leave for salary reviews and bonuses
  • Supportive part time and flexible work options for men and women
  • Established an Inclusiveness Working Group to drive key initiatives, advise the Probuild board and bring about change
  • Executive participation at an industry level in various groups addressing female industry participation and industry working hours
  • Participation in an industry-leading Perinatal study with WorkSafe Victoria specifically designed to support and make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of expectant and new parents

COMMUNITY

Probuild is passionate about leaving a positive impact on the communities we operate in. Our corporate social responsibility program, ProCommunity, encourages this.

ProCommunity provides an avenue for our staff to volunteer in the community and/or donate and fundraise for causes important to them.

We typically focus on smaller not-for-profit organisations, who don’t get much support, so we can make a larger impact. We also support cause areas relevant to our business: homelessness, the built environment and education.

As part of ProCommunity, Probuild staff enjoy two paid volunteer days annually, to support any cause they are passionate about. We also provide opportunities to volunteer at local community soup kitchens, on our company roster in Victoria, and to take part in our annual community project weekend.

In addition to volunteering opportunities, Probuilders can take part in workplace giving, where Probuild matches employee donations to our partner charities dollar-for-dollar.
