MONIQUE
ASTORINO /
Project Management
Careers at ProbuildMonique Astorino is a first-year graduate working at The Malt District in Cremorne, Victoria at Probuild Constructions.
Monique’s journey within construction began while studying Project Management at RMIT University, completing her degree with Honours.
Prior to acquiring her Graduate role, Monique was working at Probuild for two years as an under-graduate at The Malt District.
The project is currently in the finishing stages of development with the team preparing to hand over the building to the client. So, Monique’s current role on site is coordinating all the finishing touches in the apartments, coordinating with their client, and finishing any outstanding tasks in terms of defecting.
“When I arrived at The Malt District, we were still digging the basement floors of the building and I’m still here two years later! I have been very fortunate to see every phase of this building which I think is a bit of a rarity.”
During Monique’s second year of studying, Probuild came to visit RMIT and caught Monique’s attention. She was blown away by what Probuild had to offer and how their Graduate role gave exposure to a vast range of modules.
“My most memorable moment while working at Probuild was being nominated for NAWIC’s Student Award. I got to meet other females working at Probuild and in the industry as a whole, network and be exposed to a much broader community in construction.
I definitely think Probuild having such a strong alliance with NAWIC is pretty telling of Probuild and their mindset of supporting and uplifting the females that work within the construction industry.”
